2010 MONTGOMERY COUNTY
YOUTH POETRY CONTEST

Divided into four age groups (Grades 1-3, Grades 4-6, Grades 7-9, Grades 10-12). The contest's purpose is to recognize and promote excellence in poetry writing for local students! Winners were presented with awards at the 12th Annual Montgomery Poet Laureate Award Celebration on Friday April 16th at Arcadia University.

2010 SARAH MOOK
POETRY PRIZE

The purpose of the Sarah Mook Memorial Poetry Contest is to acknowledge, encourage and reward the efforts of student poets. Sarah Gail Mook was a student in the third grade at Buckingham Friends School in Lahaska, Pennsylvania, when she died suddenly of an aortic aneurysm on December 14, 1995. Sarah started writing poems in kindergarten. It is the goal of this outreach that Sarah's gift continue to inspire young poets.
