A
rematch of last years Prestige Championship highlights
Week 8 of the 2014 season. Both the 69ers and A II
P enter the week with much less dominant records then
they possessed in 2013 (in fact both have already
matched their loss total from a year ago). However
the matchup is intriguing and high-profile because
both teams have proven to be stronger then the records
would indicate. Especially the 69ers who at 4-3 lead
the league in scoring with an average of 124 points
per game. A II P has been much less explosive but
they are consistent as they're one of three teams
to score at least 100 pts in all 8 games this year.
In other Week 8 matchups, Lightning has quietly won
two straight games as they look to remain improve
to 4-0 against the American League. They face a Lions
team that has failed to reach 100 pts in seven of
eight games this year; After a red-hot start, H has
suddenly fallen - dropping three straight games and
only scoring 85 points per game in that span. They'll
need to produce more points against a 328's team that
is coming off a 137 point performance and is averaging
110 points per game; Tormenta owns the leagues best
record at 6-1 and are seeking a fifth straight victory.
They face a United team that has been very inconsistent
all season; After a 5-0 start, the O's have quickly
dropped two straight and out of first place. The Tomcats
were once 3-0 but haven fallen to 3-4 with four straight
losses. Both teams are better then the losing streaks
would imply, but this is a big game for divisional
standings.
