The 2014 Regular season concluded as the highest scoring season in league history. The 69ers (who repeated as National League Champions set a new season scoring record). 2014 also saw a new league record for teams scoring 100+ points in a game. Perhaps the most fascinating stat of the year is that for the first time in league history no team finished with at least 10 wins. What does this prove? Not only is scoring on a massive incline, but the parody of the league may be at an all-time high this year. What an exciting time for the Postseason! Five of the top six scoring teams reached the Prestige Playoffs, so we should be set for some great matchups. The Wild Card Round is highlighted by two non-divisional matchups. A Wild Card team has not won the Prestige Championship since Tormenta in 2009. Tormenta is again a Wild Card team this year as they face a 328's team reeling after it's disappointing two-game losing streak to fall out of the division lead. Tormenta brings one of the leagues most explosive scoring attacks as evidence by their 136 point performance to end the regular season but they've also had four games in which they scored below 90 points (most among any other Prestige Playoff team). The 6th seeded Tomcats are playing in their first Prestige Playoff game since 2007. They will meet an O's team that has been in the Prestige Playoffs 16 out of 20 seasons. However, the O's have lost the last four postseason games and have not played in the Semi Final round since 2009. The Tomcats have not won a Prestige Playoff game under current ownership (0-5). They do enter the week averaging 121 points per game over the last two weeks, while the O's have lost two straight and are only averaging 94 points per game the last three weeks. In the Loser Bowl, H ties to extend their winning streak to three against a Lions team that is seeking a ninth straight victory in the Loser Bowl (as they've won the Loser Bowl title the last four times they've been in them - 2011, 2010, 2008, 2013). In the other Loser Bowl game Lightning will matchup against United.
