69ers 328's A II P H Lions Lightning O's Tomcats Tormenta United

In the draft with the most overall selections since 1999, the 20th Annual Draft was marked by a First Round that did not see a RB taken until #7 overall - the first time ever that a RB was not taken in the top 5. Three of the first four selections were WR's with the Tomcats taking Sammy Watkins with the Hall of Fame Selection. Lightning made history selecting Eric Ebron at #2 - the highest a TE has ever been taken (besting the previous of Kellen Winlsow at #3 overall). The O's took the first QB with Blake Bortles at #5. Carlos Hyde was the first RB taken and he was followed by two other RB's at #'s 8 and 9. The second round went very similar with WRs and one QB filling up the first six picks until three consecutive RBs went 7-9. Overall it was a ery successful day and every team seemed to improve. There were four draft day trades and the selections concluded with veteran (and potential future Hall of Famer) Steven Jackson being taken with the Mexican Seafood Selection by the 69ers at #69 overall (Jackson was originally drafted #2 overall in 2004 by H where he spend his entire career).
