Week 9 begins the second half of the season. It is
also the final week of a four-week stretch featuring
all out-of-divisional matchups. Over that span the
National League has a 9-6 head-to-head edge, causing
come separation in the American League standings and
a tight battle in the National League. The division
leaders will matchup in the Game of the Week. Both
sitting at 7-1 Tormenta and A II P can make early
claim as the team to beat heading into the seasons
second half. Tormenta has won four straight and incredibly
has yet to score below 110 points in a game this season.
A II P has been a less explosive team this season
but they've been steady enough to earn wins on a consistent
basis. They'll be without Matthew Stafford this week
so they'll need a big game from backup qb Tony Romo
to match Tormenta high-scoring attack. In other Week
9 matchups, Lake Show looks to earn a second consecutive
victory as they face a 3-5 O's team that has scored
over 100 points in five straight weeks; the 69ers
look to bounce back from losing two of the last three
weeks to stay in the division race. They matchup against
a 328's team that has surpassed 100 points in five
of the last six weeks (despite only winning two of
them); H is quietly in contention in the National
League after three straight impressive wins. They'll
go for four straight against a United team that has
struggled with consistency since the 3-1 start (going
1-3 and scoring below 100 points in all four weeks);
Lightning has had a really rough past three weeks
(going 0-3 and scoring below 74 points per game in
all three weeks). They'll meet up with a Tomcats team
that has also struggled the last two weeks but remains
well in the mix to earn it's first Prestige Playoff
berth since 2007.
