This is the final week of the first half. Two weeks
of low scoring throughout the league has likely been
the result of bye weeks and season injuries. Just
two weeks ago A II P and the 69ers were the leagues
lone unbeaten teams but now one of them will enter
the second half of the season with two losses. For
A II P it could be a rare consecutive loss, as they
have not lost in back-to-back weeks since Week 13
of 2008 (a streak of nearly five seasons!). A II P
will be without Arian Foster who has struggled this
year but they will have Rob Gronkowski back (just
in time to replace Jermichael Finley who may be out
for the year). The 69ers are off to their best start
ever but they will need to find a QB fill-in this
week as all three (Andrew Luck, Matt Schuab, Jake
Locker) are on a bye week. Both of these teams stand
atop their divisions so this is a big game to close
our the first half. In other Week 8 matchups. United
looks to move back up the American League standings
as they face a Tormenta team that is currently tied
atop the National League and can finish the first
half as the most explosive scoring team in league
history; Lake Show is still seeking a first win of
the season as they face a Lightning team that has
lost three consecutive weeks; 328's are coming off
a huge comeback win last week and they'll try for
consecutive victories against H, who has won two straight
and four of five; The O's will hope to bounce back
from the tough Monday Night loss last week with a
matchup against the Tomcats who had a rough scoring
output as they failed in an attempt to earn a third
straight win last week.
