What an exciting first month of the season! A league-wide
record setting scoring trend was capped off last with
all ten teams scoring over 100 points for the first
time in league history. Tormenta is the first team
to ever open a season with four straight 130+ point
performances and they are not even one of the leagues
two remaining unbeaten teams. One of them is A II
P, who finished the month of September unbeaten for
the fifth time in the last six seasons. The team looking
to knock them off a four-year run atop the American
League is United, who is off to an impressive 3-1
start. They will be without starter qb Robert Griffin
III because of a bye, but a win here would move them
into a first place tie for the division lead - a position
the franchise has not held this late in the year since
Week 14, 2006 (when they won the division title).
In other Week 5 matchups, Lake Show seeks it's first
win against a Tormenta team that is coming off it's
first loss but is on a record-setting scoring pace;
The Tomcats and 328's each suffered heartbreaking
late loss on Monday Night and will look for a second
win of the season; 69ers try to hold onto sole possession
of first place in the National League against a Lightning
team coming off a season-best performance; H seeks
a third straight victory after the 0-2 start against
an O's team still looking for a first win.
