After the first month, the 2012 season is on a record-setting
scoring pace as all but one team is averaging at least 100
points per game (the O's are the only team below that mark
at 99 ppg). All ten teams have at least one win and only
two have winning records (with one team still unbeaten).
This is the final week of division matchups until they return
again for the final playoff push in Week 10. One of the
real surprises of the season has been the improved scoring
output from the Tomcats, who enter the week with consecutive
100+ games for the first time since Week 5 of 2008. In the
Game of the Week they face the two-time defending champions
who are coming off a season-best performance of 143 points.
In other Week 5 matchups, Lake Show and 328's both look
to end two-game losing skids; Tormenta will try to build
off last weeks impressive performance against a United team
that has surpassed 100 pts in three straight games; the
O's go for consecutive wins for the first time since Week
4 of last year against a H team that has been disappointing
the last two weeks; Lightning will try to remain unbeaten
as they face a 69ers team that has been more productive
then the 1-3 record would indicate.
