The 2012 Prestige Championship has arrived and for only the second time in league history it will be a battle of National League teams - Lightning and Tormenta, both of whom have experience in the Championship. This is the third time in the last four years Tormenta is playing in the Prestige finals and Lightning has been in the Finals three previous times (winning in 2008). Lightning started the year 5-0 but then won only two of the next 6 games before finishing the season with a win to end 8-6. During Lightning's drought Tormenta took advantage of the division winning six straight games from Weeks 4 through 9. However they went 2-3 over the final five weeks scoring 100+ points just twice. Both teams seem to be playing at their best in the postseason. Lightning has scored over 100 pts in three straight games including a season-high 133 pts last week. Tormenta's 135 pts last week was the most the team has scored since the 164 points in Week 6. They spit the head to head matchups this year with Tormenta winning the division-deciding matchup in Week 11.
