I'm autotrophic –
don’t need a heart to feed
off of anymore,

and monolithic –
casting a solitary
silhouette in sand.

i don’t need You.
Eye don’t need You.
Heart don’t beat You.
Lungs don’t breathe You.
Mind don’t learn You.
Stomach hurls You by
the hour.

i don’t need You.
Hands don’t knead You.
Nose don’t know You.
Lips don’t preach You.
with all this lack of You i am
