UNIAMBIC
Blog
from 2010 Poet Laureate Grant Clauser, who introduces readers:
"I spend a little time most days poking around the
Internet reading litzine sites, poetry articles and other
literature-related content. Frequently I want to react to,
write or rant about what Ive read. Ive dozens
of essays in my head on poetry subjects, but havent
gotten around to pitching any journals on these ideas. This
blog, hopefully, will be a place for me to do those things,
and perhaps get others to join in on the fun." Visit

WRITING FROM WITHIN
Join
us for an inspiring, welcoming and pleasurable guided writing
circle led by Doris Ferleger, Ph.D. 2009 Poet Laureate of
Montgomery County. Enter new and forgotten inner chambers
and landscapes, voices and feelings. Be inspired by poems,
prose, music, and each other. Learn new ways to spark your
inner writer and quiet your inner critic. Writing circle
provides a time and space to hone our human gifts of interconnection,
contemplation, imagination, exploration and creation. Give
yourself the gift of time for spontaneous writing, optional
sharing, and respectful deep listening to one another. For

POETRY
& PERCUSSION
This
exciting performance combines voice and drum, two of the
oldest instruments of human expression, in new and provocative
ways. Poetry & Percussion attempts to combine words
and sounds to touch the heart, conjure images in the mind's
eye, and stir feeling in the soul. Use
of the listener's imagination is not only encouraged, but
necessary to fully appreciate the performance. In this way,
a meditative mood is created in which all participants embark
on a collective journey inward. This approach is very different
from the style of presentation so prevalent in the music
and art of today's popular culture. The only thing required
is an open mind. For more information, go
here
