We
are here and we are dedicated to seeing the arts grow and
prosper in the Indian Valley - dance, drama, music, painting,
photography, poetry, prose, sculpture, design - and more!
We
already have a solid track record in the community. Since
1981. Souderton Area school children have had the opportunity
to work side by side with professional visual and performing
artists, thanks to our Aritsts in Action residency programs.
Also, Indian Valley audiences of all ages have enjoyed free
concerts in the Souderton Municipal Park since 1988 through
our Concert Sundaes programs - many have included nationally-known
performers. In addition, a new Fall/Winter/Spring Concert
Series was inaugurated in 1996- held in the S.A.H.S. Auditorium.
Become
a member of the IVA and help us preserve and expand the
artistic heritage of this area. We need both the artists
and those who appreciate the arts to join forces under one
organization. The teamwork of both is vitally important
to the success of our efforts. Whichever group you consider
yourself to be a part of, you can lend your support now

MCPL
PROGRAM:
 The
MCPL program brings in a nationally renowned poet to adjudicate
an annual competition each spring and provides opportunities
to recognize and promote excellence in poetry.

CONCERT
SUNDAES:
 The
Concert Sundaes Committee began as a group of Souderton
Area residents, who met informally over breakfast,
to discuss ways to utilize the Maurice W. Foulke Band
shell, for the benefit of the community. The Centennial
Celebration of 1987, had generated a strong interest
in arts events, the Souderton-Telford Rotary Club
had helped build the beautiful band shell designed
by David Zayas, and the Souderton borough Recreation
Board had just purchased a public address system for
the park.. The time seemed ripe for an annual entertainment
series.
The
committee was soon adopted by the Souderton Area Community
Education Council, which provided the committee with
much assistance during its first four years. Concert
Sundaes is part of the Indian Valley Arts Foundation,
a nonprofit corporation. Together with Artists In
Action, Concert Sundaes makes up a year-round program
of arts education and enrichment for Indian Valley
residents of all ages.

ARTISTS
IN ACTION:
Artists
in Action, a sub-committee of the Indian Valley Arts
Foundation, is a community sponsored group of volunteers
dedicated to providing the children of the Souderton
Area School District with an ongoing appreciation
and understanding of the visual and performing arts.
