Denise
A. Collins, a poet and fiction writer from Lambertville,
New Jersey, is the author of Kaleidoscope: A Retrospective
(Copyright 1999 Black Oak Press), and Pyramids &
Strange Sickness, a chapbook offered by The Plowman
Publishing Company in Ontario, Canada, and Mourning
Song and Other Poems, published by Black Oak Press).
Her poems have appeared in The New Press Literary
Quarterly, Shooting Star Review, Medicinal Purposes,
Mediphors, Black Buzzard Review, US1 Worksheets,
The River and Earth's Daughters. Denise is also
one of thirteen poets featured in, Live at Karla's:
Thirteen New Hope Poets, a 300-page anthology of
performance poetry published by Moving Adverb Press.
A participant in the Poet-in-the-Schools Program
for the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation since 1986,
Denise also teaches poetry, the art of critique
and creative writing for Project Impact, Arts-in-Education
Foundation and the New Jersey School of the Arts.
A writer and educational consultant by trade, Ms.
Collins is currently employed by Dow Jones, publishers
of The Wall Street Journal.
