HELP US REACH OUR GOAL!
We want to thank all of you who supported the Montgomery County Poet Laureate program and the poetry competition during this most challenging and productive year. 2010/2011 promises to be even better with expanded programs and the 13th annual Poet Laureate Competition.

We have completed the budget and this year we will need to raise $6,000 to cover the costs. We are off to a good start with a grant from the Sally Love Saunders Poetry and Arts Foundation for $500.

Poetry Noir
POETRY NOIR CHALLENGE

The mission of Poetry Noir is to explore the universal moments presented or "spoken" in Black-and-White films with poetry writing.
We will feature a film clip and challenge you to observe the film and to capture in words the poetry evoked by the cinematic moments.
