69ers 328's A II P H Lake Show Lightning O's Tomcats Tormenta United

The 16th Season has officially arrived as kickoff takes place Thursday Night September 9th. All ten teams enter the weekend with the same records, as the journey toward the ultimate goal of a Prestige Championship season begins this week. Every team has the same goal and the quest for that goal starts now. The Opening Week will begin as the 2009 season concluded with A II P and Tormenta in a rematch of the last years thrilling Prestige Championship. Tormenta will attempt to do what the previous four defending Prestige Champions could not - win the opening week in the following season. In other Week 1 matchups, two Wild Card teams from last year Lake Show and United vie for early positioning in the American League race; 328's and Tomcats will try to forget last years struggles by starting the season with a winning record; Lightning looks to rebound after their disappointing season as defending champions last year against an O's team that historically tends to be beatable in the opening week (they are 5-10 all-time); and in one of the league more intriguing opening week matchups we'll see how the post-Drew Brees 69ers era fares against the post-Philadelphia era of H.
