Week
10 is here which means all 10 teams have played each
other at least once. The divisional matchups return
in what has been a season of record setting scoring.
While 2009 has not featured some of the individual
or team explosive scoring we saw in 2007 or 2005,
overall scoring averages are higher then ever at a
rate of 102.7 points per game (easily surpassing the
all-time high of 99.4 points per game in 2005). At
this point no team has officially been eliminated
from playoff contention and the division races are
up for grabs. Especially in the National League where
the leagues three highest scoring teams (Tormenta,
O's and 69ers) stand within a game of each other.
The Game of the Week features Tormenta taking on the
3-time division champion. Tormenta made their mark
early in the season with an impressive defeat of the
O's and now they go for the rare season sweep which
could potentially setup a 3-team tie atop the division
standings; In other Week 10 matchups, the defending
Prestige Champions need to start get things going
against an A II P team that has dealt with some struggles
in November the past three years; The Tomcats remain
in contention for a division title if they can defeat
a United team trying to move into Wild Card position;
Lake Show and 328's each hope to extend their winning
streaks to two games; and H tries to keep their season
alive against a 69ers seeking their first ever division
crown.
