Week
9 marks the end of the all-out non-divisional league
matchups. After this week teams return to play their
division for the final five weeks of the season. The
race to win the division and or clinch a Prestige
Playoff berth really begins to heat up. Tormenta has
long been one of the struggling franchises in league
history but this season they find themselves in a
position to not only win the division but the Prestige
Championship as well. They are coming off their best
season in league history yet this team seems to be
improved on an even higher level then the 2008 team
which finished 9-5 before losing in the Wild Card
playoffs. At 5-3 Tormenta still has a legitimate shot
at the highly competitive National League title but
they do trail the division-leading 69ers by 2 games.
Tormenta's Week 9 opponent is American League division
A II P who is sitting very comfortable with a three-game
cushion in the division standings. In other Week 9
matchups, 328's and H face-off in a game that could
officially eliminate any Prestige Playoffs hopes for
the losing team; The O's look to keep pace in the
National League against a United team that has improved
in scoring every week since the poor Week 3 performance;
the Tomcats try to bounce back from a rough week in
a potentially critical wild card matchup against the
defending Prestige Champions; and the National League
leading 69ers seek a 6th straight win against a Lake
Show team hoping to avoid a 6th straight loss.
