"Let the right one in, Let the old dreams die, Let the wrong ones go, They cannot, They cannot, They cannot do what you want them to do". The 2009 season has reached it's midpoint. The shadows of the darkness begin to rise as the season enters the critical second half. The mysterious and passionate thoughts and feelings that go into a season begin to build with each passing week as the postseason gets closer and closer. Working through the layered ins and outs, ups and downs of a season can be like putting together a Rubix Cube or translating Morse Code. It is at times horrifying yet there is also a gentle tenderness that comes with the acceptance of a seasons failures and success, as well as the need to continue - or even survive - the journey. In seven weeks only six teams will move forward to the quest for eternal reward. The first half only set the stage for deciding this. The unknown journey ahead is one all teams teams take together. While this is a shared and tender connection of the leagues ten teams, it is rooted in a desperate mutual need above all else. "Let the right one slip in, Slip in, Slip in..."

15TH YEAR FUN FACT
The leagues first ever non-divisional matchup was between the Hoots of the National League against the Nurses (now 328's) of the American League in Week 1 2005. Hoots won the game 81-49.
