A
year ago A II P stood as the league's lone unbeaten
team at 6-0. They then proceeded to lose a franchise
most 7 straight games only to win the final week of
the regular season and slip into the playoffs as a
Wild Card team at 7-7 (eventually losing in the Wild
Card playoffs to make it 8 losses in the final 9 weeks).
Now six weeks into the season A II P is again standing
unbeaten at 6-0. A win here could go a long way for
the psyche of the team while a loss could put them
into panic mode. The Week 7 challenge will not be
easy as they face the league's most explosive team
in the battle of divisional leaders. The 69ers and
A II P will fittingly close out the first half of
the 2009 season as they have clearly been the league's
top two teams entering the mideseason. In other Week
7 matchups, H will look to get out of a hole and build
upon their first win of the year against a Tomcats
team looking to bounce back after their 3-game winning
streak snapped; In a rematch of the 2008 Prestige
Championship, Lightning tries once again to start
getting hot as the second half of the season approaches
against a 328's team in a near must-win situation
at 1-5; Lake Show hopes to avoid another close defeat
and snap a 3-game losing skid as they face the O's
who will have Peyton Manning back from a bye week;
and after two straight losses Tormenta will try to
keep pace in the mix for a division title against
a United team coming off two straight 100+ point performances.
