For
the 201st regular season week in league history, we
will turn back to the very beginning. As part of this
years 15th Anniversary celebration, the league is
featuring 'Legacy Week' in which all ten franchises
will play on behalf of their original city and team
names. Week 5 is generally considered the first of
two rivalry weeks, so it sets up as the ideal weekend
to honor our 15th season - with all ten teams in their
traditional franchise representation. In the Legacy
Week Game of the Week, A II P takes their undefeated
record against American League rival Lake Show (playing
as Lazer Light). Lazer Light's last game came in the
1998 Prestige Championship which they lost to A II
P. In other Legacy Week matchups, Oreos and Hoots
renew their historic tradition with Hoots desperately
seeking their first victory of the season; Tormenta
(Krazy Kats) look to hold onto the National League
lead and hold-off a Tomcats (Flying Pigskins) team
that is seeking a 3rd straight win; Lightning (Omni
Football) and 69ers will be without several key players
including their starting qb's for what should be an
intriguing divisional battle; and United hopes the
Mexican Seafood team name can generate some fire under
their struggling scoring production, as they face
a 328's (Nurses) team that is equally struggling and
still in search of their first win for 2009. This
week marks the end of divisional matchups for four
weeks. They will return in Week 10 as teams prepare
for the final stretch of the season.
