69ers 328's A II P H Lake Show Lightning O's Tomcats Tormenta United

Tormenta has become the league 7th franchise to win the Prestige Championship completing a remarkable season with an impressive 119-101 win over A II P. Tormenta was playing in its first Prestige Finals against a team that had been there for the record seventh time, including four previous title victories. Tormenta's outstanding season in which they averaged 115 points per game was capped off with 119 points in the Prestige Finals (good for the fifth best performance in the Prestige Championship). It was only the second time (matching the 2007 finals between 69ers and Lake Show that both teams scored over 100 points, tying the second highest total among two teams in the finals. Tormenta had a balanced scoring attack in the finals, but it was a 29 points performance from te Vernon Davis that lead them to victory. In 15 season, Tormenta is now the eleventh Wild Card team to win the Prestige Championship and the eighth in the last nine years. Tormenta completed the season sweep of A II P this season and the two teams will meet again to open the 2010 season.
