69ers 328's A II P H Lake Show Lightning O's Tomcats Tormenta United

With every game taking place on Sunday this week, the end of the 2009 season is officially here as only two teams remain. For one it is familiar territory and for the other is the first time ever playing in the Prestige Championship. Tormenta has long been a struggling franchise but they've had their two most successful seasons in each of the past two years, capped off by a 2009 year in which they finished 9-5 with an incredible 115 points per game average. A II P has been a little quieter getting to their record seventh Prestige Finals despite the fact they finished the regular season 11-3, perhaps because most of the explosive scoring has come from the 69ers, O's and Tormenta all season. This is the fourth straight year that an American League team faced a National League team in the Prestige Finals and it is the eight time overall (the National League is 5-3 in those games). This is the tenth time a Wild Card team will play against a Division winner in the Prestige Finals. The Wild Card team has won eight of those ten meetings. Only four division winners have went on to win the Prestige title and only won since 2001. Can Tormenta become the seventh franchise to win a Prestige title, or will A II P claim their fifth championship? The Championship Weekends other matchup will be the annual Pro Bowl with Lake Show's Jake Wallace coaching his first Pro Bowl against National League champion and second time coach Josh Martin. The National League has clearly been the more dominate division this year but the American League has been successful in Pro Bowl history winning nine of fourteen including three straight entering this year.
