Our 15th season will continue a new era of our league,
which last year added a significant shift with the
introduction of the 'Flex Rule'. Now we continue
the growth in our 15th Anniversary Season with the
arrival of a newly designed website and a unique
Draft Day celebration. For our previous 14 seasons,
the Draft was held on a weeknight. The 15th Annual
Draft will be held on a Saturday and for the first
time will not be coordinated by Brad and Kathleen
Fisher. Josh and Lisa Martin will coordinate this
years draft, which promises to be one of celebration
- both for our leagues past success as well as an
exciting future! Events and games will begin at
12pm with the draft then set to start around 3pm.
The atmosphere of the day will be carnival-esque
as we develop from the leagues past and celebrate
today's new era in anticipation of a bright future.

As part of this years 15th Anniversary, the
league will feature a 'Legacy Week' in which
all ten franchises will play on behalf of their
original city and team names. A concept proposed
to the Commissioner by league owner Jake Wallace,
Legacy Week will take place during Week 5 our
upcoming 2009 Regular Season (October 6-12).
Week 5 is generally considered the first of
two rivalry weeks, so it sets up as the ideal
weekend to honor our 15th season - with all
ten teams in their traditional franchise representation.
The five home teams will still play their games
in the teams current city, but all ten teams
will be represented by their original franchise
names. Among the matchups for Week 5 include
the time-honored classic meeting between National
League rivals O's and H, the leagues only two
franchises that have never changed home cities
(both have slightly altered or shortened their
original names from Oreos and Hoots respectively).
Two of the other five original owners 69ers
and Lightning (originally Omni Football) will
also meet that week.
