Priest Holmes and Wide Receiver Rod Smith will be inducted
into the A2P Fantasy Sports Hall of Fame at the 2009
Induction ceremony in August. Holmes and Smith will
represent the 14th and 15th members of the Hall of Fame
which started during the 2002 season. Holmes will be
inducted as a member of the Both Holes/Lake Show franchise
where he played nearly all of his career, starting in
45 of his 47 career games and scoring 881 of 903 career
points. Holmes currently ranks 7th on the all-time rb
scoring list. His best season came in 2002 when became
the first rb to reach 300 points in a season. Holmes
won the Player of the Year award leading the Both Holes
to an 11-3 record and American League title. Rod Smith
started a successful 4-season career with A II P and
ended strong with five seasons for the Tomcats. However
Smith's two best seasons came with Philadelphia H, who
was acquired after he started to drop on A II P's depth
chart with the addition of Randy Moss. Smith was the
Trade Acquisition of the Year in 2001 finishing 5th
with 178 points and leading the Hoots to an 11-3 record
and the National League title. In two season with H,
Smith started 22 games scoring 282 points. Smith scored
322 points in 33 starts over the last five years of
his career with the Tomcats. Smith's 854 points places
him 9th all-time among wide receivers.
