A year ago Lightning and 328'spostseason ended with first round losses in the Loser Bowl Playoffs. Now they find themselves in a battle for the Prestige Championship. Both of these franchises have been rebuilding the past few years and now they find themselves back in the Prestige Champion, where they last met in 2002. 3228's were then known as KC Whoa and as the 6th seed they defeated the National League Division Champions and second seeded Lightning team. No Lightning can turn the tables as they enter as the 6th seed against the second seeded American League Champion 328's. 328's have won four straight, surpassing the 100 point mark in each game. Lightning has won three straight and four of five, also scoring over 100 points in each win including an all-time franchise high 147 points in last weeks thrilling win over the O's. This is Lightning's third visit to the Prestige Finals and they are seeking their first ever title. Prior to this season 328's were never in the Prestige Playoffs but the franchise does have a history of three previous visits to the finals, winning two of them. Both teams owners are looking to win their first ever Prestige Championship. Week 17 will also feature the leagues annual Pro Bowl with Brad Fisher (O's) and Eric Medlin (A II P) representing their divisions as coaches.
