The 2008 Regular Season has passed as a new season- The Postseason- begins. In the Prestige Playoffs, six teams fresh with what they hope will conclude with their original goal when the season began, a Prestige Championship. The four Loser Bowl teams only have the strength of pride and momentum toward a brighter future next season (as evidence by three of the four 2007 Loser Bowl teams now playing in the Prestige Playoffs). Division winners O's and 328's get to sit back and await the results of the Prestige Wild Card Round. The defending Prestige Champion 69ers seek a 4th straight postseason win against an A II P team that enters the playoffs having just snapped a franchise low losing skid. A II P and the 69ers are two of the most successful franchises in Prestige Playoff history with 6 titles among them, and they are especially good in the Wild Card round (both teams are 4-1 in their last 5 Wild Card games); In the other Wild Card matchup, Lightning vies for their first Prestige Playoff win since 2003 against a Tormenta team that has only won once in Prestige Playoff history, but enters the week on a four game streak of at least 100 or more points scored.. In the Loser Bowl playoffs, the Tomcats try to snap a 10-game losing streak against an H team that has only lost once in seven Loser Bowl games; United goes for a 5th Loser Bowl title as they face Lake Show, who is seeking a first-ever postseason title (of any kind) for the franchise.

Two of the league's most improved players from a year ago qb Jay Cutler and wr Anquan Boldin won their first scoring titles. Boldin finished the year with 188 points despite missing two games with an injury. He was able to hold off a late surge from Larry Fitzgerald who finished with 181 points. Cutler's 91 points over the final two games pushed him ahead of 4-time scoring champion Peyton Manning. te Tony Gonzalez won a record 6th scoring title and first since 2004. Gonzalez's 174 easily surpassed the next best (Jason Witten and Antonio Gates at 112). Brian Westbrook's 33 points in the final week gave him his second straight scoring title, as he took the lead over Marion Barber who had held it since Week 6. David Akers surpassed defending scoring champion Mason Crosby on the final week of the season finishing with 123 points. Twice a runner-up (in 2003 and 2004), this is Akers first scoring title. The Packers held the d/st scoring league all season long as they finished with a league-best 153 points. The Packers previous scoring title came in 1996.
