The Preseason has passed and now we look forward to leagues official start of the 2008 season. Every team enters the week tied. In 14 weeks only six will reach the Prestige Playoffs, and 3 weeks after that only one will stand alone as the Prestige Champions. To get there it all starts in opening week, where every team enters the weekend equal. In the Game of the Week, the defending Prestige Champions start the season off in a non-divisional matchup against four-time Prestige Champion A II P, who are seeking a record tying seventh consecutive trip to the Prestige Playoffs this year. In the weekends remaining matchups, alternate winners of the last four American League titles Lake Show and United try to get off to a quick start; 328's seek a rare opening week victory against a Tomcats team hoping to continue the September success they've had the past two years; In the National League the two-time defending division champion O's have some injury and suspension questions as they prepare to play a Tormenta needing to avoid the 0-5 start that plagued them a year ago; and finally H will look to "flex" their depth options against Lightning who is the only franchise with as many career opening day victories.
